INTRA-AFRICAN TRAVEL AND TOURISM ASSOCIATION - ITTA, has for the past few years made quite remarkable strides, though with difficulties. The most notable achievement was the introduction of the first ever event of launching “Tanzania Cultural Day” on the 21st May 2005 by Hon. Joseph Mungai, MP then Minister for Education Culture and Sports.

Hon. Mungai in his launching speech, apart from commending the event as one of the initiative for Tanzanians to assert their cultural position, he emphasized that any country without culture was like a human face without a nose, which sent the audience bursting in laughter.

To be able to realize our objectives, ITTA needs the support and co-operation through smart partnerships of Governments, Development Agencies, International Organizations, Public and Private Corporations, NGOs both international and local, and the Community at large. ITTA is conscious that today less than before, the isolated efforts of any¬body however powerful be it in its own sphere can not validly influence the course of change.
